About us

We are DVI DOLI, a Ukrainian Bandura Duo formed in April 2022. The name DVI DOLI means Two Destinies, reflecting both our personal stories and the moment our voices and instruments came together. Yuliia Kohut-Kalynyuk (lyrical soprano) and Kateryna Trachuk (lyrical-dramatic soprano) are classically trained musicians from Lviv.

We studied together for six years at the Lviv National Music Academy, mastering both voice and bandura. Though very different, our voices and instruments blended perfectly when we finally performed as a

duo — and DVI DOLI was born.

We are finalists of the Chervona Ruta Festival and have performed extensively across the UK, including Oxford colleges, Sheldonian Theatre, Holywell Music Room, St Paul’s Cathedral, and Marylebone Theatre, as well as in Cambridge, Leeds, Sheffield, York, Reading, Swindon, Glasgow, and Newport.

Our music blends traditional Ukrainian songs, harmonic vocals, and the unique sound of the bandura, presenting our voices and instruments as a living connection to our culture. Every performance invites audiences into our world and celebrates the depth and emotion of Ukrainian music.

  • OUR VISION

To inspire global audiences with the richness of Ukrainian folk traditions — making the bandura not only heard, but felt. We envision a world where cultural heritage is not forgotten, but celebrated and shared.

  • OUR MISSION

To preserve and promote the soul of Ukraine through the timeless sound of the Bandura. Every note we play carries a piece of our homeland, telling stories of resilience, beauty, and identity.

Our Collaborations

We proudly collaborate with Ukrainian and international cultural and community organisations, including Ukrainian Social Club, Swindon Welcomes Ukraine, AUGB Reading Ukrainian Community Centre, The Ukrainian Cultural Association in the UK, Cambridge 4 Ukraine, Refugee Week, Multaka Oxford & Pitt Rivers Museum, and Chervona Ruta

UK Foundation.
